Background and FAqs
Douglas Adams wrote the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy based off some of his own personal experiences. He was Hitchhiking around Europe using a book that gave him tips on how to do it for only 10 pounds. One night while looking up at the stars he wondered if there was also a guide like his to the Galaxy. And being a former script writer the idea was born and he began work on it as a radio script to create one of his own.
